FSA clamp down using mystery shopping

The head of the Financial Services Authority (FSA) recently said that it will toughen up it’s consumer protection against poor financial products. This will be done not only through inspections by FSA regulated inspectors, but also through mystery shopping where inspectors will pose as normal customers.

It is thought that a combination of both of these techniques will assist in the reduction of mis-sold financial services such as loan insurance.
